My go to place for momo and Nepalese food. This place has the authentic Nepalese taste in their food which makes me feel like home far from home. Everything you’re about to try is going to be fantastic. The ambience is great with great sitting area pictures lighting and soothing music makes this place even best to take break from your hectic schedule. Service is top notch best service and great hospitality.

After some night laps at Brighton we were hungry and wanted to try something new. My friend Jack suggested we go to “Gurkans”, which he found on Google, which he later realized was in fact “Gurkhas”. We arrived at 9:30PM, and they seated us willingly despite closing at 10:00PM. They had incredibly kind staff, it felt like we were being invited in by a family. The restaurant was really tranquil and clean. We ordered Chana Masala, Chicken Korma, Vegetable Biryani, Naan, and Roti. All the food came quickly. We ordered them with medium spice, which rang true, because the dishes had a kick to them! Spice and all, it was perfect. The food was just as great as the service. We finished up and left 10 minutes AFTER they closed, and just before walking out, my other friend George spilled his water all over their floor. They were very kind about it and insisted he not worry about it. Once we got in the car, an employee ran out our box of food that George had forgotten. These are good people, who make good food. Don’t listen to the bad reviews, give it a try!

The samosa chaat is very tasty and fresh, but their other dishes are a little too dull in the spice department for us. The staff is very nice! Atmosphere wise, dining in here gives me a bit of anxiety. Not sure if it’s the blackout curtains, the bird videos playing on the tvs, or the decor that takes you back in time.

I absolutely love their food quality. The taste of the biriyani was amazing and surprisingly they are consistent. I also loved their chicken grill and specially samosa chaat. If you love spicy try to select 6 out of 7 spice level to get that good spicy food. I love spice and the level of spice was perfect. Additionally, their food is low cost comparing to others here. One downside is that I don’t like the color added/produced in the foods as those seem like more colored looking.

My husband and I have been in search for a good Indian and Napali restaurant for a long time now. We tried Gukhas last weekend and we're pleasantly surprised! Food was amazing! Excellent service and we loved the atmosphere! We had a great conversation with the Waiter/Manager, He was so nice and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. If I would recommend a good restaurant this would be it for sure! Food was so flavorful, came out hot and huge portions! Nann bread was so soft and tasted perfect! Would recommend the chowmein, Very Good! All of it was so so good! If your looking for great Indian food this is it!!! Honestly the best!! A

The food here is absolutely amazing. I can't compare to other restaurants in the area since I'm passing through, but this is possibly the best Indian I've had yet. Easily in the top 3. And the restaurant itself is beautiful

Amazing place! We went for a 3pm meal and were the only ones there. It is such a beautiful place. We shared the Coconut Korma and it was most delicious. The regular Naan bread was particularly good. They have a buffet there on certain days/times. The service (for obvious reasons) was wonderful, lol. We would absolutely go there again and HIGHLY recommend.
